15 Minute Complimentary Phone Consultations
Your relationship with me is at the heart of a successful intervention. Our relationship as therapist and client is a unique relationship that will support you to be vulnerable in a safe, empathic, respectful and confidential setting without judgement. By speaking with me during a 15-minute session, you can decide if our therapeutic relationship is the right one for you.
Virtual/On-line Appointments
Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for various mental health conditions[1] and can make mental health treatment more approachable[2].
Evidence also suggests that adolescents prefer to access online therapy over traditional face-to-face support if they experience a mental health problem and that alleviation of stigma and increased accessibility are most valued benefits of online therapy[3].
Regardless of your age, at a time where virtual communication is ever-growing, counselling services in your home may be a more comfortable or convenient option for you. Online therapy also provides accessibility to individuals who are disabled or housebound.
Face-to-face Appointments
Face-to-face appointments can be held at a location of your choice, including your office or a public place.
Sessions
Whether on-line or in person, a session will typically last 50 minutes.
During our sessions, I will use a biopsychosocial holistic approach, which allows a comprehensive assessment of circumstances that may have contributed to your current difficulties and identifying possible changes in specific areas of your life that may improve your wellbeing.
In parallel, the use of CBT can teach you coping skills for dealing with different problems and focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.
Finally, self-realisation through a person-centred approach and building resilience may help you to successfully adapt to difficult or challenging future life experiences.
